Vue 7 Pioneer Beginner Tutorials

The following links lead to beginner tutorials for the free beta of E-on Software's Vue 7 Pioneer.
They are designed for beginners to 3D graphics and this program. Learn to use Vue 7 to create realistic landscapes and scenes and to render to a quality picture format. Also covered is beginning modeling using the primitives available in Vue Pioneer and texturing using Vue's powerful material feature. Some tutorials need additional downloads to complete the exercises as specified. These materials are linked in the tutorial as well as linked here.

1 Exercise 1. Create a terrain in Vue 7 and rotate it around.
Explore render options and render.
2 Exercise 2. Loading an Object. Learn to load objects and manipulate and render. Download House-JJ.zip for this tutorial.
3 Exercise 3. Manipulating the camera. Use the camera controls and the widgets in the flat views to pan and rotate the camera in the scene.

Vue 7 Material Series

Exercise 4A. Basic Materials Create a primitive object in Vue 7, and explore the basic method of selecting a material from the built in library. Change the scale and then switch materials.

Exercise 4B. Texture Maps Create a primitive object in Vue 7, then map a texture on it. Render. Change scale. Change texture map.

You will need to download 4BMaterials.zip . Unzip. Move the two textures, 4B-1 and 4B-2 to My Documents > e-onsoftware Vue7>Bitmaps>Personal folder to use in this exercise.

Exercise 4C. Mixed Materials Create a primitive object in Vue 7, then add a mixed material distributed by a function. Render. Edit material and function scales and learn how to save personal materials.

You will need 4BMaterials.zip . Same as above.

Exercise 5. Manipulating the camera. Manually learn to move and rotate the camera using the top, side and front views. Gain a clearer understanding of how to position the camera in the scene.
